Open house draws neighbors to Cutler Drive build

Interior framing and sheetrocking in progress at the Cutler Drive build

We opened the doors of Cutler Drive, our 13th build, to give neighbors a firsthand look at the work in progress.

The house has come a long way. Volunteers helped frame the bathroom and closets, finished the ceilings, and put drywall in the living room. Outside, the crew has been clearing brush and cleaning up the grounds.

Visitors got a tour of the house and a chance to talk with board members who have been putting in the hours, week after week, to bring it closer to completion. We organized this open house so that people could see in person what Habitat for Humanity does for affordable housing, not just in the abstract.

Thank you to everyone who came out, asked questions, and showed support for the project. Special thanks to Claremont Savings Bank (opens in new tab) for helping make this event possible. Events like this only happen because of a community that shows up.
