In October 2022, we completed our 12th home on Myrtle Street, giving a local family a stable, affordable place to call home.
The house needed new plumbing and wiring throughout, fresh insulation, and a new roof. The work took the better part of a year, and depended entirely on volunteers. Neighbors and board members turned out on weekends to paint, clean up the yard, and get the house ready room by room.
Like every Habitat family, the new homeowners partnered with us every step of the way, contributing hundreds of hours alongside our volunteers. They now pay an affordable, interest-free mortgage instead of rent.
