Who we are
Greater Springfield VT Habitat for Humanity has helped build homes for families for over 25 years. We do this because we believe affordable housing plays a critical role in strong and stable communities.
We are an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, serving Andover, Baltimore, Cavendish, Chester, Grafton, Ludlow, Rockingham, Springfield, Weathersfield, and Weston, Vermont.

We work with families, neighborhoods, other charitable organizations, individual volunteers, donors, and business sponsors to provide decent, affordable housing for local families in need.

How Habitat works
Habitat homes are not given away. Partner families are selected based on their need for housing, their ability to pay an affordable mortgage, and their willingness to partner with us, including contributing hundreds of hours of their own “sweat equity” alongside volunteers.
Homes are built and renovated by partner families and community volunteers. Everyone is welcome. Our projects range from construction and renovation to cleanup and fundraising.
